Sandra Pilarczyk
Main responsibilities: Managing Director

Sandra was previously working with Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) for 8 years and her latest position was Conference Sales Manager for a property with a maximum capacity of 400 guests and generates 50% of the property’s revenue on an annual basis. She has a proven sales record of over 30% increase of incremental v revenue achieved within 2 years of working for the company. Previous to this Sandra has been working in various hotel sales positions throughout Europe for IHG. She achieved a degree with recommendation in Hotel Management in Germany 2000.

Sandra currently sits on the Sheffield Business Advisory Panel and is Finance Director at JCI Sheffield.

Sandra is a native German speaker and just started to train for her first marathon in November.


Steven Vandevelde
Main responsibilities: Sales & Marketing Director

Steven was previously head of Revenue Management and Conference Sales Strategies at Abrita Management Solutions.

Previous to this Steven has been with IHG for 10 years and was instrumental in the setup of the Express by Holiday Inn brand within the UK. Steven has launched the sales department for Arimasoft that was generating high turnover within 3 months.

Steven was holding the Revenue Manager position for over 3 years at the largest Crowne Plaza in the UK and was voted best Yield-manager within Crowne Plaza in the World in 1999.

Steven is currently JCI Sheffield president and is a council member of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce

Steven speaks Dutch, Flemish and French.

For us social and environmental responsibility is at the heart of the way we do things.

We set very high standards for ourselves because we are determined to protect the reputation and profitability of the business.

We only buy from local suppliers. We believe that supporting local businesses with our business and establishing close ties with the local community is the right thing to do.

It goes without saying that we must remain profitable to be sustainable. By working in partnership with local suppliers we are able to contain costs while ensuring their own viability, in part due to our long term support and encouragement.


Social Responsibility
Our relationship with the local community and our employees must be constructive and healthy.

Our principle charity for 2010 is Clubs for Young People. A Sheffield based charity which encourages young people to lead healthier lifestyles through sport and physical activity.

A fantastic charity who engages so many local kids and gives all of them so much more than just a sporting activity. CFYP provides the opportunities to make a positive contribution to their local community.

Throughout the year we organise many fundraising activities such as Running For Money.


Environmental Responsibility.
We are working closely with the Carbon Trust to reduce our impact on the environment and encourage our partners to suggest new ways to reduce our carbon foot.
